Emergency providers evacuated an additional 75 folks Wednesday in a single day in Komani within the Jap Cape because the Komani river stays in flood.
Almost 1000 folks have been evacuated from their dwellings since Wednesday morning. No fatalities have been reported but.
Spokesperson for the Chris Hani District Municipality, Bulelwa Ganyaza, says the scenario is being constantly monitored.
Ganyaza says it rained in a single day and continues in the present day.
“Final evening, plus minus 75 folks had been evacuated from Silvertown Casual Settlement as a result of rise of water within the Komani river. We’re constantly receiving help from the completely different stakeholders within the area that are directed to the Komani flood victims.”
NGO, Present of the Givers can also be going by way of to the city to help the evacuees.
